A new housecoat

Fleece Housecoat. I added seams down the sleeves and CB to use up some long strips of fleece I had leftover from some project... The belt, band and top of the pockets are a lightweight bug print knit. I really should have done the inside of the band in the fleece to give it more body, but its ok as is.

Sewing for me

Ottobre 5/07 #19
  • Fabric: Black single sided fleece - I think its a Malden Mills fabric... turquoise knit for hood lining and pocket/neckline binding.
  • Pattern Modifications: I made size 48 for most, tapering out to size 52 for hips and lengthening nearly 2". I shortened the sleeves and used the size 52 sleeve.
  • Comments:This went together quickly. I love the fitted style, that is long enough for me. Usually store bought fleece end at my waist or just below and ride up - they never go to my hips!

Picture is coming - its in the wash again, the cat likes to sleep on it :)
Added the photo finally.... Slow recently as I'm on day 3 of a massive headache!

Ottobre 2/07 #17
  • Fabric: Black Stretch Twill
  • Pattern Modifications:Lots...
  • Comments:Got the fly backwards, but didn't care to pull it out....

They aren't quite complete, still need inner waistband sewn on and hemming.
