Imported from my old blog....

The kids are going for portraits tomorrow... checked through ds stuff and he didn`t have any dress pants - only a pair of grey cords that are a year old (and starting to look it)... so I used a tried and true pattern - OD 2/05#24 and lengthened them, omitted the patches & back pocket and taped the yoke onto the back piece. I used some black linen from my stash.

I also completed the dress I was working on for dd2. and made christmas print spiral (or "J") skirts for both girls.

Tonight I also cut out about 4-5 more projects...

Hopefully I can get some photos tomorrow to post of these recent projects - now its off to bed.

Well took a few days but here are some photos

Imported from my old blog
The third bra is complete after a trip to 3 fabric stores searching for missing parts to many projects.

Now I still need to head back to the fabric store! I'm nearly out of white eyelet. I have some that is only .5m long - I need about 3m-4m... I'm making OD 6/2007 #17 in the butterfly fabric from my Gram's quilt and some striped baby cord I found that matches perfectly. I've completed the underdress - I put an invisible zipper in it so it could be worn by itself. The yoke and skirt are in the beige background butterfly cotton and the hem panel is in the cord. The overdress has the yoke and top of sleeve in the black butterfly cotton and the skirt and lower sleeve is in the cord. I've started the sleeves for the overdress and now its bedtime...

A third bra and other sewing

Imported from my original blog
Tonight I worked on a few projects. Cut out one christmas present, almost finished myself another pair of pullon knit pants (they need hemming), made another balaclava with more facial coverage. And I sewed a third bra! Its not quite finished as I'm missing some parts as I forgot to buy rings and sliders, and need to buy a correct size underwire. This bra has a lower cut (more of a demi bra) so it needs a shorter underwire than the first two. Its not the best picture, the bra doesn't have much shape/structure without the underwire.

Also added one item to my Christmas sewing list for ds: Snow Pants!!! Last year I made him a pair with heavy fleece on the inside and some grey laminated nylon (?) fabric on the outside that was found on a $2 table some time ago. I don't think I have any of the grey left, but I do have goretex that I got from a friend.
