Wallets

This past week I was testing the Greenbacks Wallet for Sara at Sew Sweetness. I used fabrics from a  Punctuation Layer cake for my wallets, giving them a scrappy look.  These went together very well, and I like the #2 wallet the best.  OK I didn't sew #3, but of the two I made, I think this one is very functional.  I did make a few changes....  I added a piece of elastic to hold a pen, and I put a zipper on the cash side to hold change.  Unfortunately I decided after making it, that it needed a zipper, so it was a little painful to put on!

 

This is Wallet #1...

Lots of finishes last week

First finish in my April SWAP Block

And my block for the Block of the Month at Quilt Guild

A tshirt for my daughter's dance teacher.  It was a beautiful purple bamboo lycra (the photo doesn't do the colour justice).  In trade for some dance lessons.

And finally finished MY Easter Egg Table Runner.  My daughter made this, my son programed the embroidery machine, and I applied the binding and the backing... What took so long?  They finished on Easter Monday before dinner... but we had to go to dinner so took one to Gramma, and never got back to it!
