February AYoLF finishes

The back of the Jig Dress
The jig skirt was pinned on to fit!
I finished the jig dress.... But didn't finish the quilting. That's what happens when you set your goals high....

The jig dress was the most important item.  Her old jig outfit was getting too small.... so we designed a pinafore dress with some growing room......

As for quilting... it just wasn't the month.  I did really well at the beginning of the month getting 2 donation quilts ready for the guild challenge, but haven't made it back to the longarm.

February ~ A Lovely Year of Finishes Goals and a pair of Finishes!

Sometimes you run out of quilt to quilt
just at the right time...
before running out of thread!
I would put finish a preemie quilt for tonight's quilt guild challenge, but that would be unfair because I completed that earlier today.....  and I completed a second preemie quilt for the challenge!

February Goals

  • Make a Jig Costume for my 12yo
  • Finish quilting a UFO

Quilt Guild Challenge

Last year our preemie quilt challenge was for quilts with hearts.... This year the theme is boys quilts....  since I'm running low on blue fabrics, I dug into the container at the Guild Sew-in and cut some strips.....    I added the green from my stash....

Used HTV to "sign" my name

Using up Scraps
I started a second challenge quilt with the scraps from the first one.

WIP Wednesday

My quilt guild donates preemie quilts to the local NICU, and I complete a few each year.... This month they are having a "boys" quilt challenge. I got some fabrics on Saturday at the Sew In and am currently making 2 quilt tops. I will be adding a monkey applique on the quilt top.

I had a number of scrap left and some underwater print, so I am making a second quilt top.
