Constructing Fairy Dresses

New dresses for back to school.

These are currently unfinished, but the kids had lots of fun adding butterflies, flowers, hummingbirds, frogs, dragonflies, and more to the fronts of these dresses.

Pattern is 3/08 #19, in both sz 92 & 122. I'm really enjoying having both girls in the same size range right now. They both currently want matching clothes so its great when the patterns are in the same size range....

August Sewing

After a week or so spent travelling to visit family, friends and see the sigths, we headed back to the island for some rest, relaxation and SEWING!

During our trip, we stopped at Addie's Material Goods. What a beautiful store! Wonderful staff, beautiful fabrics & yarn, some pottery, jewelry and other wonderful finds. I also stopped at Fabric Fantasy in Innisfail, AB.

Here is a RTW shirt we embroidered

Matching Nighties
Ottobre 4/03 #10

Done in a good quality knit, with some printing flaws... Short sleeves due to lack of fabric (2m no longer makes nighties for the girls...)
A new nightie
No Pictures, Mom

1/2 Circle Wrap skirt

Fabric is a poly-lycra with a nice weight and drape, but very warm to wear.

The kids think its plain and needs embroidery, but this is exactly what I've been wanting....

Nightie or is it a dress?

Re-purposed a tshirt from VBS this summer. Was an adult size XL tshirt, now a nightie/dress in size 122cm.

White FOE at neckline, pattern is the knit nightie pattern OD 4/03 #10.
Another nightie - or is it a dress?

A gift for a friend

Other items made, sorry no photos....

Underwear from Jalie 2327for my son in spider/bug print knit
Panties from Jalie 2329for each daughter to match their new nighties
Leggings for me - Ottobre Womans (2/08)Made in powerdry to wear under skirts.
Issues with this.... First they largest size ends at size 48, so they needed to be upsized. But when I upsized them, they were WAY too short on the back rise (about 4" or more). The front rise is good though....

I've made two pairs - first pair I added an oval shape at the back to increase the coverage and increase the rise - they fit ok with the modification. Second pair I altered the pattern changing the back crotch curve and increasing the rise, but didn't increase the back rise enough and the elastic isn't quite short enough so they slide down.
Ottobre 3/08 #13 Scarf with visor2 made - one for each girl...
