A quick gift -- stash sewing!
My youngest was invited to a birthday party with little notice.... she wanted to help me make an embroidered pillowcase..... I chose some coordinating flannelette and fleece from my stash, she chose the thread and got both machines ready..... and within an hour we had a gift! Add a book and a pocket game from the "magic" cupboard and we had a gift ready to go.

Clever idea! I have a "go-to" gift area for last minute gifts. But, to add something like this makes it all the more special
