It's gorgeous as it is but adding a little bit of width and length won't hurt it. If you're afraid of it ruining the look, use the background fabric. OR use more of your prints but break them up so that it looks like the hex pattern bleeds off the quilt.
But honestly, it will be gorgeous no matter what you decide.
